Sorry folks that I haven't been online lately. Sorry if I haven't been replying, commenting, and faving. I have been very busy lately. I've been spending time with my brothers. We hardly spend time together now. Due to work, school, college, projects and stuff. This week was the only opportunity to spend time with my bros. The day is coming and it's not that long until me and my brothers get separated and live our own lives. That is why I'm taking every moment I have to spend time with them as much as possible. I guess we should all think about that too.

No updates on the comic yet. I have this artist block bothering me. That is why I can't produce a new page. I may draw some small images and maybe some original works just to keep my skills sharpen at all times. Don't expect a new page this week until this artist block goes away which I think will not be so long.

Anyways I want to talk about something important. Something that concerns all of us not as fellow FOP fans, not us as fellow DAs, but as human beings. I want to ask, what do you see yourself? What do you see yourself in the future? What do you think of yourself? Today I saw a preaching by a pastor. And when I was watching it, I imagine you guys. And I believe God has let me see this preaching not just to encourage me, but so that I can encourage all of you. So everyone, I hope you had a nice drink and a good meal. Fasten your seatbelts and make sure your seats are in the upright position. Because this is going to be a looong journal entry.

Now we all know what an imagination is. We use our imagination to help us create our drawings or help us write our stories. I don't know an artist or writer who doesn't use their imagination. I mean if I wanted to draw a blue fish. I don't see the word blue and fish. I see a blue fish. Imagination is a powerful thing. It makes us think in picture and what we imagine we put it into motion.

And part of our imagination is a picture of ourselves. How we see ourselves right now and in the future. Its what we are and what we will become whether good or bad. We will never rise higher than what we see ourselves. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't see themselves in a very positive way. They don't see themselves succeeding in life. They don't see themselves being loved. They don't see themselves beautiful and unique. They don't see themselves capable of anything. I have talked to a lot of people on DA through MSN and I have noticed not a lot of them are confident in themselves. And this concerns me because I see a lot of potential in each and every one of them. They're not confident in their singing. They're not confident in their own drawing skills and writing skills. They're not confident in the way they look. They're not confident in their own work. They're not confident in their job or future. Basically they're not confident in themselves. And because of that, they are being limited by the vision they've made. They no longer want to step out in faith.

In the verse Mathew 6:22-23
"Your eyes is a lamp for your body. A pure eye lets sunshine into your soul. But an evil eye shuts out the light and plunges into darkness."

Basically Jesus is saying that if you look at yourself with confidence and with the eyes of faith then it will produce wondrous things. But if you see yourself incapable, unsuccessful or evil, then that's what you'll produce. Jesus is saying if we keep seeing ourselves in mediocrity then that will keep us where we are.  Its not that God doesn't want to bless us, it's because we feel like and say we don't deserve it.

We produce what we can keep in front of us. If we produce something good then that is what we get. If we produce something bad, then that is what we'll get too. You can't give birth to something without first conceiving it. We can't make draw/write something without first imagining it. Basically our life is like canvas. What we draw on it is what we imagine. Don't let doubt be in your canvas. Change the picture. God showed Abraham the stars and told him that's how many his generation will be. We need change the picture of our lives and start putting something positive. Take that pencil of faith and start drawing of what yourself, how you see yourself and what you want to be. If fact, I want to challenge each and every one of you to draw a picture of how they see themselves and what they see themselves in the future. Remember what you put on that drawing of you is what you are and what you'll be. Try to draw what you want to see. See yourself in a whole new way. See yourself and your family at peace. See yourself as a diva or superstar. See yourself working in one of them most successful animation studio ever.

I may not see it but I see myself as great man of God, full of faith and hungry for the things of God. I see myself working in my animation studio with my production team making the next episode of my successful cartoon. I see myself touching lives. I see myself strong and healthy. I see myself with a beautiful and loving wife. I see myself as a good father with great kids. Heck I even see myself getting more good looking! Sure I may have some doubts and I repent for that. But I just brush them away and just step out in faith.

Holly asked me what is my secret? Well my secret is that I envision my comic to be loved by many. I imagine people commenting and faving my comic. Seeing people asking questions about the story. I saw people drawing fanart for me. If I thought my comic would not be successful, then I wouldn't have posted it in the first place and I wouldn't have met all of you. I wouldn't have met such great people on DA who have enouraged me and inspired me to enhance my style and too keep on drawing.

I can see a lot of great things in all of you. I see you all of you blessed so much. I see one of you being one of the most successful writers ever. I see you being one of the greatest actors. I see you one of the most popular singers of all time. I see you guys making one of the most successful graphic novels. I see you working on one of the most famous cartoon you made. I see you having the most successful radio station. I see you happy and blessed. I see you beautiful and young. I see you strong and healthy. Try to imagine something good for yourself. But be careful not to become overconfident or too arrogant. There is a fine line there.

Now you might be telling me, that I'm exaggerating or maybe I'm too idealistic or arrogant. Well folks, so what if I am? When is dreaming a bad thing? I rather go through life full of confidence than go by life just living. I rather live life full of hope than just lying around and feeling sorry for myself. I rather live life expecting something great than living life expecting something bad. I'm here because I got stuff to take care of. I'm here to take care of business! I'm not going to let a little doubt and fear to stop me from achieving the destiny God has for me!  I know God has something great for all us; all we have to do is to have faith! I believe we can conquer anything!

That is why I always quote Philipians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

Now you may be saying that you don't want to feel disappointed. There is a big difference in not succeeding and not doing anything. If you're afraid you might fail, then you already failed. Folks failure are just detours or set backs. Failure is not truly failure unless you give up. When you fail, get up and try again. There is no such thing of a problem free life. Every journey always has an obstacle. It's up to you how you're going to find a way through that obstacle.

I want to end with this. My dad has one of the most successful businesses here in the Philippines. His business has expanded all the way to Vietnam. He is also one of the most powerful Bible Teachers. He has brought encouragement in the provincial areas of the Philippines. He has inspired many men. And our family has never been so close together. Now my dad is not superman. Any man can do what he can do. I have seen people with a business like his but are slowly crumbling. I see people who have attended the same church as long or even longer than him but they are living sorrow. Now what makes these people different from my dad? They have the potential. They have the ability. Why do they live unhappy lives? You know why? It's because my dad choose to live by faith. He saw himself working for God. He saw his business succeeding. He saw our family closer together. He chose to live and see things positively by faith.

I hope I was able to encourage you today. I'm so happy you took time to read this. And I hope you'll start living in faith. God bless everyone and take care. I'll see you around.

Clubs I'm in...

Man, that's rather insightful. Makes me happy and sad at the same time. It's... hard to explain. Just take my word for it. The future... so far and yet amazingly close. Don't think my stuff will get published (I actually want to become a professor of palentology with a specialization in paleobotany, but that's beside the point), but that's because what I draw/write is just how I relax. In that case, it's not low confidence, it's just that I don't plan on doing it.

In all, very elegantly put. Sorry I didn't get around to reading it sooner.
